This category should include words which comprise senses with distinct derivations, even if these senses ultimately stem from the same roots. It should not include words whose meanings have shifted or been extended in the course of their use as English words, as this would include practically all English words.
For example, forte has two distinct etymologies, both from Latin, but one through French and one through Italian. On the other hand turn, though it has many senses, has only one etymology.
