version (plural: versions)

  1. A change of form, direction, or the like; transformation; conversion; turning.
  2. The act of translating somthing from one language to another.
    It's in the King James version only.
  3. An account or description from a particular point of view, especially as contrasted with another account
    He gave another version of the affair.
    A number indicating which revision something is. (Software, firmware, CPUs, etc.)
  4. (medical): A condition of the uterus in which its axis is deflected from its normal position without being bent upon itself. See anteversion , and retroversion .
