Aegina (mythology)In Greek mythology, Aegina was the daughter of the river-god Asopus. Zeus abducted Aegina and took her to an island near Attica, thereafter known by her name. Aegina eventually gave birth to a son Aeacus, who became king of the island. For the island of the same name: see Aegina.
