Aurora

Aurora is the Latin word for "dawn".

It can refer to:

• The Roman equivalent of the Greek goddess of the dawn, Eos. See Eos.
• A polar light (caused by solar wind and seen near the poles). See polar aurora.
• The collective noun for a group of polar bears.
• Several aircraft:
  • A (possibly fictional) U.S. Air Force hypersonic spy plane. See Aurora aircraft.

• Several vessels:
  • Ten ships of the Royal Navy named HMS Aurora.
