Azure (color)

Azure is a blue color, about halfway between blue and cyan, which resembles the sky on a clear day.

Origin and usage

It is French in origin, and is often used in France to describe the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the national colours of Italy.

Azure is a tincture in heraldry.
