Bad Boy Records

Bad Boy Records is an East Coast hip hop record label founded by producer and rapper Sean "P. Diddy" Combs in 1992 after his internship at Uptown Records was terminated by the then CEO Andre Harrell. Arista Records bought a 50% stake in 1996, but Bad Boy broke ties with Arista and moved to Universal Music Group in 2003.

Its artists have included Notorious B.I.G. Craig Mack, Total Faith Evans, Mase, 112, Carl Thomas,Shyne, Black Rob , G-Dep , Da Band, Dream , New Edition , Mark Curry , B5 and Mario Winans.

The label's first release was Craig Mack's Flava in Ya Ear in 1993.
