Brazilian Socialist Party


The Brazilian Socialist Party (Partido Socialista Brasileiro), is a political party in Brazil. The Party of the Democratic Left was founded in 1946 in Rio de Janeiro. On August 6, 1947 the Party of the Democratic Left became the Partido Socialista Brasileiro (PSB) , whose current president is the deputy Miguel Arraes de Alencar .

The PSB was legally recognized as a political party by Brazilian Electoral Superior Court on July 1, 1988 .
