Butt

The word butt means:

• a cask of wine of about 477 litres
• the buttocks in US slang, therefore end in general, as in the end of a cigarette or gun
• a person mocked or embarrassed by a joke: the butt of a joke
• a pork shoulder in butchery ; people sometimes say Boston butt or simply pork butt
• a target for practicing archery; see butt (archery)
