Charade Circuit

The Charade Circuit (also known as Circuit Louis Rosier) was a 5.005-mile motorsport road course in the Auvergne mountains in France.

Built in 1958 on the site of an extinct volcano, Charade hosted four Formula One French Grands Prix from 1965 to 1972. Many drivers described the circuit as an even twistier version of the Nürburgring, with some drivers even complaining of motion sickness by race end.

Although Formula One hasn't been to Charade in over 30 years, a 2.4-mile abbreviated version of the circuit is still in operation, hosting minor races.
