Claim Jumper

Claim Jumper is a restaurant chain with thirty-two locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, and Washington. The first Claim Jumper opened in Los Alamitos, California in 1977. The restaurants typically have a dignified American Old West theme. They are known for the large proportions of their dishes and the level of detail in their atmospheres. The menu features a wide range of foods, but focuses mainly on meats such as steak. Claim Jumper also sells a line of frozen dinners in grocery stores.

The term "Claim Jumper" is a reference to the California gold rush; a "claim jumper" was someone who stole someone else's mining claim.
