cloop.o is a module for the Linux kernel to add support for filesystem-independent,
transparently decompressed, read-only block devices.
The module is maintained by Klaus Knopper, the author of Knoppix, and can be downloaded from knoppix-sources. The versions 0.xx were for kernel 2.2; versions 1.xx are for kernel 2.4; versions 2.xx are for kernel 2.6. It is used by Knoppix and other LiveCDs to fit approximately up to 2 GB on a 700 MB CD.
