In political science confidence refers to a government's support in the legislature. If a motion of no confidence is passed in a legislature governments are forced to resign.

In personal lives, Confidence or self confidence refers to the belief of a person in his abilities. The key to confidence is knowing that you are who you make yourself out to be.
