Ezekiel F. Chambers


Ezekiel Forman Chambers (b. February 28, 1788; d. January 30, 1867) was an American politician. He served in the U.S. Army during the War of 1812, where he rose to the rank of Brigadier General. In 1822, he was elected to the Maryland State Senate, and in 1926 was elected to the U.S. Senate from Maryland to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Edward Lloyd, and served until his own resignation in 1934. He then served as presiding judge of the second judicial circuit of Maryland and judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals from 1834-1851.
