Falling action

Falling action especially occurs in tragedy. It is the action following the turning point (sometimes referred to as "climax"). From this turning point onwards the hero's fortunes are in decline. In these final stages of action there may be incidents that add new interest or intensity. However, even if it seems, nothing will put off the inevitable final catastrophe.
