Grenzmark Posen-Westpreussen

The Grenzmark Posen-Westpreussen were the lands of the former Germany/Prussian provinces of Posen and West Prussia, that remained in Germany after 1920 (end of World War I). It was created in 1922 and existed until 1938 (just before World War II), when it was divided, and parts were assigned to Silesia, Pomerania and Brandenburg. The capital was Schneidemühl (Polish: "Piła").

The areas included into Pomerania were also called "Grenzmark Posen-Westpreussen", which had nothing to do with the province.
