 Jack Warner (August 2, 1892 – September 9, 1978), born John Leonard Eichelbaum in London, Ontario, Canada, was the president and driving force behind the highly successful development of Warner Brothers Studios in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The youngest of 12 children of Jewish immigrants from Poland, the rest of the Warner children were born in the United States. Jack Warner died on September 9, 1978 in Los Angeles, California and is buried in Home of Peace Cemetery in East Los Angeles, California. See also: Other Canadian pioneers in early Hollywood
