Jack Whyte

Jack Whyte is an author and writer born and raised in Scotland.

His major works to date is the A Dream of Eagles series, also known as The Camulod Chronicles in the United States. This is a series of historical novels that places real historical contexts and potential answers to the Arthurian legends. The first novel is The Skystone followed by The Singing Sword , The Eagles' Brood , The Saxon Shore , Fort at River's Bend , The Sorcerer , and Uther . All the novels present plausible explanations for the myths or legends of King Arthur and Ancient Britain. The series begins in Roman Britain before the fall of Rome and continues through medieval Britain. The books are in the tradition of James Michener with great attention to historical detail.
