Kirby: Right Back at Ya!Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, known as Hoshi no Kirby (星のカービィ Hoshi no Kaabi, literally "Kirby of the Stars") in Japan, is an anime series based on Nintendo's Kirby franchise. In Japan, the series, produced by Nintendo and HAL Laboratories, airs on Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting Company (since 2001 which has done 100 episodes). It is currently licensed in North America by 4Kids under the title Kirby: Right Back at Ya! and is airing on 4Kids TV, formerly the Fox Box (since 2002, heading to its 90th episode). The show is distributed by 20th Television and HAL Laboratories.
PlotThe story tells how Kirby's ship crashes close to Cappy Town (Pupu Village in the original Japanese), where he meets his new buddies Tiff (Fumu in the original Japanese), Tuff (Bun), Fololo (Lololo), and Falala (Lalala). Kirby is a baby in the anime because he wasn't supposed to wake up for supposedly another 200 years. But his ship detected monsters on the planet Popstar. The bad guys, King Dedede, Dr. Escargoon (Eskargon), and monster-creator Nightmare were trying to get rid of Kirby with his monsters, but many of these attempts had failed. The reason is that Kirby inhales the monster and copies their ability to use against Holy Nightmares monsters. Meta Knight also appears in the anime, he believed he was the last remaining Star Warrior (Star Warrior is not a species) until Kirby came along.
