MCPS

The MCPS (Mechanical Copyright Protection Society) is responsible for collecting and distributing royalties to composers, songwriters and publishers for recording of copyrighted music onto many different formats.

The owner of this copyright must be a full member, they must pay an upfront joining fee and then a yearly toll to the MCPS in order for them to work on their behalf. The MCPS is also a part of the MCPS-PRS Alliance in which they work alongside the Performing Right Society (PRS).
