Manuneedhi Chozan

ManuNeedhi Chozan was a King of an ancient Tamil Kingdom Choza. He was popular and loved by his people for his sense of Justice. Legend has it that he had a Tower bell in front of his palace that victims of injustice could ring the bell to call help from their King. It is said that the King's son rode his chariot erratically and killed a calf under his chariot. In response, the mother cow went to the palace and rang the bell. Manuneedhi chozan was informed about the incident and ordered for his son to be executed. Since no one dared step forward to do it he himself did it to his willing son to wipe the tears of a mother cow who lost her calf.
