Mbabane, estimated population 70,000 (2003), is the capital of Swaziland. Located in the Mdimba Mountains , it is an administrative center and a commercial hub for the surrounding region. Tin and iron are mined nearby.
Its closest boarder to South Africa is Piggs Peak, and though SiSwati is the primary language, english is widespread. Mbabane, and Swaziland itself thrives on tourism and sugar exports.
