Miho Nosaka (野坂 ミホ Nosaka Miho) is a fictional character in the manga Yu-Gi-Oh!, the first series Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, and Toei's Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie (not the movie that is airing in North America and Europe). In the English version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters video game, she is called Melody.
Miho, who is in class 1-B at Domino High School, is a meek, shy, and quiet girl, nicknamed "ribbon" or "ribbon-chan" for the yellow ribbon she wears in her hair.
In the manga, Miho, the student librarian, is a minor character that Hiroto Honda (Tristan Taylor in the English anime) gets a crush on. Honda buys a jigsaw puzzle from Sugoroku Mutou (Solomon Moto in the English anime), the grandfather of Yugi Mutou (Yugi Moto in the English anime). Honda decides to give the puzzle to Miho as a gift. Later, a beautiful teacher named Ms. Chono (known as Miss Medusa in the English Dungeon Dice Monsters video game) decides to do a desk check. When she finds the puzzle, she asks who it is from. Yugi, Katsuya Jonouchi (Joey Wheeler in the English anime), and Honda all say they made the puzzle, so Chono decides to solve it after announcing she will expel the person who made the puzzle.
Dark Yugi (Yami Yugi in the English anime) comes out and places a penalty game on Chono; the more she hurts Honda and Miho, the more her beautiful façade cracks. When she solves it, her face cracks open, revealing an ugly face. An embarassed Chono runs out of the classroom. Miho dumps Honda after he directly asks her out. Yugi and Jonouchi buy him a hamburger to cheer him up, and Honda becomes friends with Yugi.
In Toei's first series anime, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Miho is made into a main character along with Yugi, Honda, Jonouchi, and Anzu Mazaki (Téa Gardner in the English anime). In the 27-episode long anime, Honda has a crush on Miho throughout the whole series, but Miho falls for Ryo Bakura. In the first series anime, Miho is not involved in the Chono and the love puzzle plot. Instead, a girl named Mayumi had a crush on Jonouchi and wanted to send him a love letter in the form of a puzzle. Miho's voice actor in Toei's series is Yukana Nogami.
