Mission High School is a public high school located in San Francisco, California across the street from Dolores Park, adjacent to both the Castro District and the Mission District.
The California Mission architecture-influenced main school building was built in 1924 although the high school itself predates this building by over two decades. The current student body is extraordinarily diverse, with Latino and African American students constituting the two largest ethnic groups, although neither group makes up a majority of the student body. Just under 1000 students attend Mission High School as of the 2004-2005 school year.
