Mr. Pacman

Mr. Pacman is an "8-bit hero gangsta rock" [1] band from Denver, Colorado. Desribed as a performance art project as well as a band, Mr. Pacman's live shows include martial arts fighting with monsters, outrageous 1980s retro-futuristic outfits, and their signature Commodore 64-inspired rock. The band started out as a film school project by Denver native Avery Rains in 2001, who would rap over Commodore 64 video game music. After one such performance, some Japanese exchange students remarked, "Mr. Pacman is awesome!". The name stuck. Since then, the band has expanded to 4 members.

Starting in 2002, Mr. Pacman has been named among the Top 10 Underground Bands of Colorado list by the Denver Post, placing 7th that year, and 5th in 2003 & 2004 [2].
