Open circuit

Open circuit can mean:-

• In electronics, where there is nothing connected to a load and no current can flow. This can be represented by a resistance/impedance that is equal to infinity.
• In breathing set design, an open-circuit breathing set is a set (e.g. ordinary sport scuba) where the user breathes from the set and exhales to the surroundings without recycling the exhaled air or gas.
