Richard Piegza


Richard Piegza (born juin 10, 1954) is a Paris-based performer, video, actions and installation artist since 1977.

From 1978 to 1982 he created and directed "AMBASADA LINGUA". In 1982 he moved to Paris, and in 1988 he founded the Wizya Video Art Action, which organizes and documents artistic events and performances. Since 1991 he has been working on the permanent recording "Remembered Images". He is the author of a movie "Action Art" made in 1997 and a film called "Performer's Notebook".

In May 1998, together with Michel Giroud and Charles Dreyfus he organized a Video Conference "DADA-FLUXUS". It was held in George Maciunas's Office in the Center for Art in Vilinus. Richard Piegza is also the artistic director of "INTERACTIONS" - Art Action Festival, that takes place in Piotrkow Trybunalski - in Poland /~42km - LODZ/.
