Richard Yates (governor)

Richard Yates (January 18, 1818 - November 27, 1873) was wartime governor of Illinois. He was born in Warsaw, Kentucky, and died in St. Louis, Missouri. From 1865 to 1871, he served as a Senator from Illinois.
