The Rich Kids

The Rich Kids were a rock and roll band from London in the late 1970s. They were formed by bassist Glen Matlock after he left the Sex Pistols, and fronted by Scots guitarist and singer Midge Ure. They were amongst the foremost British exponents of the power pop style, blending influences from 1960s acts such as The Small Faces and The Who with more recent hard rock and punk sounds. They put out one album, "Ghosts Of Princes In Towers", and a few singles during their existence, from late 1977 to early 1979, Ure subsequently joined Thin Lizzy, which he left in 1980 to join Ultravox.
