The Wind

The Wind is a 1928 film in which a woman from the East moves to East Texas and must live with the constant blowing wind, sand, and brutal men. It stars Lillian Gish, Lars Hanson , Montagu Love and Dorothy Cumming .

The movie was adapted by Frances Marion from the novel by Dorothy Scarborough . It was directed by Victor Sjöström and has been deemed "culturally significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
