University of Edinburgh School of Law

The University of Edinburgh School of Law, founded 1707, is a school within the University of Edinburgh, dedicated to the teaching of law. It is located in Old College, on South Bridge, which stands on the original site of the University. The school is located near the heart of the Scottish legal system, Parliament House, home to the High Court of Justiciary and the Court of Session. Edinburgh's Sheriff Court is also near.

Notable alumni include politicians David McLetchie, Jim Wallace and David Steel as well as former European Court of Justice president Lord MacKenzie Stuart.
