University of Teesside

The University of Teesside is a University based in Middlesbrough, England. In the grand scheme of English institutions it figures as one of the formerly converted polytechnics that sprung up across the country during the 1990s. Initially christened the Constantine Technical College after its founder, the Teesside enrollment tally is now nearing 20,000.

As has not been uncommon among universities sharing Teesside's background, investment has been ploughed into a series of recent projects, including an uprated Learning Resource Centre.

Pockets of 'excellence' exist in a number of disciplines: Art and design, computer science, history, social work, sport and exercise, electrical and electronic engineering, nursing and a wealth of subjects branching out from medicine.

Satellite operations have been roped in, charged with expanding the University's portfolio.

The University consists of 6 schools.

  • School of Arts and Media
  • School of Computing
  • School of Health and Social Care
  • School of Science and Technology
  • School of Social Sciences and Law
  • Teesside Business School

Directing affairs from the front is Professor Graham Henderson.
