NLP modalities

NLP modalities (also referred to as Senses, Perception, Sensory systems) are divided into:

Visual

• Location: on the left, right, top, bottom
• Color, Color space
• Shape: convex, concave, straight, curved, sharp,
  • figures: circle, square, line, plane
• Movement: photo, Slideshow, video ...
• Examples: Image (picture), Painting, Poster, Drawing

Audio or aural

• Sound: volume, pitch, tempo, rhythm, ...
• Complexity: noise, Voice, Music:note, melody

Kinaesthetic or practical

• Somatic sensation
  • Proprioception: location,
  • Tactition: pressure, texture,
  • Thermoception:temperature
• Taste, olfaction...

The senses are closely related to VAK or VARK learning styles. While discussing the learning styles some scientists also add the fourth group:
