William de Roumare, 1st Earl of Lincoln

William de Romare (born c. 1096) (also Roumare or Romayre), Earl of Lincoln, was the son of Roger Fitz Gerald (de Roumare).

He was Earl of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England; Seigneur (Lord) of Roumare near Rouen, Normandy.

He was created Earl of Lincoln by King Stephen, and Lord of Bolingbroke in Lincolnshire. He was the son of Roger fitzGerald de Romayre, Lord of Bolingbroke and Lucy "the Countess" of Lincoln. He was governor of the garrison of Newmarch , stoutly resisting Hugh de Gournay , then in rebellion there, in 1118 in Normandy.
