Yardlong bean

The yardlong bean , also known as the long-podded cowpea, asparagus bean, or Chinese long bean, is an annual vine, a variety of the cowpea, grown primarily for its strikingly long (35 - 75 cm) immature pods, used as a vegetable.

The plant is most widely grown in the warmer parts of Asia.
